While doing so, a black Jeep Wrangler going westbound struck the woman. That Jeep then reportedly left the scene. <\/p>\n<p>The woman was seriously injured in the accident. It&#8217;s unclear at this time if authorities ever located the runaway vehicle or driver. <\/p>\n<p>Commentary<\/p>\n<p>If authorities have yet to find the runaway driver here, keeping the details in the public eye will be important going forward. The general public is a vital tool in these situations, as someone is often able to connect dots authorities can&#8217;t.
