{"id":213070,"date":"2026-03-20T16:13:08","date_gmt":"2026-03-20T16:13:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/213070\/"},"modified":"2026-03-20T16:13:08","modified_gmt":"2026-03-20T16:13:08","slug":"texas-agency-revokes-plano-massage-academy-license","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/213070\/","title":{"rendered":"Texas Agency revokes Plano Massage Academy license"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-uri=\"www.audacy.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmmz2nhee002g01ukerdszvbm@published\" data-editable=\"text\" class=\"paragraph paragraph--station\">The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has revoked the license of the Greater DFW International Massage Academy in Plano, effective immediately.<\/p>\n<p data-uri=\"www.audacy.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmmz2st6m001s357xfon3fh3c@published\" data-editable=\"text\" class=\"paragraph paragraph--station\">In a release Friday, the agency said the academy falsified student records and allowed individuals to obtain massage therapy licenses without completing required training.<\/p>\n<p data-uri=\"www.audacy.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmmz2st97001t357xftxqvv0v@published\" data-editable=\"text\" class=\"paragraph paragraph--station\">According to the report, those practices enabled some individuals to gain employment at massage businesses that allegedly showed signs of human trafficking.<\/p>\n<p data-uri=\"www.audacy.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmmz2t3ar0021357x8g576l9j@published\" data-editable=\"text\" class=\"paragraph paragraph--station\">\u201cWe will not tolerate fraudulent conduct that undermines that profession or puts the public at risk.
