InSo, a new Southeast Asian fusion restaurant<\/a> with a hopping nightlife, has burst onto the vibrant Las Colinas<\/a> scene. <\/p>\n

\u201cCome for a great meal, stay for the entertainment,\u201d general manager Greg Minella said. <\/p>\n

He said there\u2019s not another place in North Texas like InSo, which is short for Indus Social. It offers a blend of upscale dining, craft cocktails and lively nightlife with a medley of entertainment options. <\/p>\n

Since the restaurant opened in February, diners have come expecting Indian food, but that\u2019s not exactly what they\u2019re going to get at InSo. Executive chef Michael Morabito said the menu features a combination of Indus and Southeast Asian cuisine topped off with \u201ca touch of Texas<\/a>.\u201d Some of the featured items include the cashew-and-sesame-crusted salmon, beef sirloin cap picanha, Ramly steak burger and coastal BBQ shrimp pot stickers. <\/p>\n

For dessert, Morabito recommends the banana lumpia or bread pudding made with warm naan. Signature cocktails include the royal colada and passion fruit mojito. One of the restaurant\u2019s more popular drink orders may come as a surprise: It\u2019s a mocktail, called the Seychelles smash, with orange juice, cr\u00e8me de coco and passion fruit nectar.<\/p>\n

Entertainment at InSo looks different each week. From live music to impromptu karaokes, themed nights and \u2014 if you\u2019re lucky \u2014 fire dancing. The goal, Minella said, is to be different. <\/p>\n

The region needed a concept like InSo, he said. \u201cThere\u2019s a huge hole here, and in Dallas generally.\u201d He added there are several restaurants in the area that close at 10 p.m., leaving little for the night crowd to do. <\/p>\n

InSo, which stays open until 2 a.m., changes that. <\/p>\n

Additional locations are in the works, Minella said, both in North Texas and across the country. \u201cThere is literally a surprise around every corner,\u201d he said of the restaurant\u2019s offerings.<\/p>\n
