UNT Health Fort Worth is not impacted by program cuts at the University of North Texas, a spokesperson told the Fort Worth Report Friday.<\/p>\n
Officials at the Denton school announced Thursday<\/a> that they are eliminating, merging or consolidating 85 undergraduate and graduate degrees, minors and certificates as the campus grapples with a $45 million budget shortfall.<\/p>\n The Denton university is facing financial strain from a drop in tuition and fee revenue due to a decrease in the number of international graduate students enrolled.\u00a0<\/p>\n UNT Health Fort Worth, which operates its own budget, is on track for revenue to exceed expenses and transfers this fiscal year.\u00a0<\/p>\n The two schools are separate but fall under the UNT System.<\/p>\n McKinnon Rice is the higher education reporter for the Fort Worth Report.
