Cadence Charland<\/a> made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over nine innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter’s box, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4.<\/p>\n

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aubrey Zhang<\/a>, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, McKinney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Rock Hill, falling 14-1.<\/p>\n

Elliott Pappas<\/a> made the most of her time in the batter’s box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.<\/p>\n

Plano is on a roll lately: they’ve won three of their last four games. That’s provided a nice bump to their 11-8-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for McKinney, their loss dropped their record down to 2-17.<\/p>\n
