Delta Air Lines will launch new nonstop service from\u00a0Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to Phoenix and expand seasonal service<\/a> to Bozeman, Montana, the carrier announced Friday.<\/p>\n

The Atlanta-based airline will begin twice-daily flights between Austin and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on Nov. 9, joining three other carriers on the route \u2014 Southwest, American and Frontier airlines.<\/p>\n

Delta Connection will operate both of the new routes using Embraer 175<\/a> regional jets with up to 76 seats, Wi-Fi and in-seat power outlets.<\/p>\n

\u201cAustin continues to be an important and growing city for Delta,\u201d Amy Martin, a Delta vice president, said in a news release. \u201cBy adding service to Phoenix and expanding our Bozeman route into the winter season, we\u2019re giving customers in Austin more access to top requested destinations while strengthening connections to key business markets across the West.\u201d<\/p>\n

Delta is actively growing its presence<\/a> in Austin. In addition to the Phoenix and Bozeman routes, it also plans to add\u00a0flights this year to Asheville, North Carolina; Columbus, Ohio; Kalispell, Montana; and Kansas City, Missouri.\u00a0Last year, it began its first international service<\/a> from Austin to Cancun\u00a0and Cabo San Lucas.<\/p>\n

By summer, Delta expects to operate 63 peak-day departures from Austin, five more than in summer 2025. The airline ranked No. 2 in the Austin market last year behind Southwest, carrying 3.8 million passengers.<\/p>\n
