<\/p>\n AUSTIN, Texas\u00a0– Concordia Texas Softball delivered a dominant showing on Saturday at Roberts Family Field, sweeping Austin College in a doubleheader with two shutout victories.<\/p>\n Game One: W, 6-0 Kylie Kirk<\/a>, the reigning SCAC Pitcher of the Week, tied the program’s single-game strikeout record once again, recording 10 strikeouts in a complete-game two-hit shutout. She worked around traffic throughout the game, allowing just two hits while striking out double-digit batters.<\/p>\n Offensively, Concordia got on the board in the second inning with three runs before adding three more in the fifth to break the game open.<\/p>\n Molly Olivarez<\/a> led the way with two hits and two RBIs, while Mia Post<\/a> continued her strong day at the plate with three hits. Karlee Mathis<\/a> added an RBI, and the Tornados capitalized on timely hitting and aggressive baserunning to build separation.<\/p>\n Game Two: W, 4-0 Karlee Mathis<\/a> was also\u00a0dominant in the circle, tossing a complete-game shutout while limiting Austin to seven hits and keeping the Roos off the scoreboard throughout.<\/p>\n The Tornados struck early, plating two runs in the first inning before adding two more in the third to take control of the game.<\/p>\n Kylie Denaro<\/a> drove in a run to get things started, while Kamryn Kothman<\/a> added two RBIs. Mia Post<\/a> contributed an RBI, and Kylie Kirk<\/a> helped set the tone offensively with a pair of hits and aggressive baserunning.<\/p>\n Concordia’s defense backed Mathis throughout, turning in a clean performance in the field to secure the second shutout of the day.<\/p>\n Concordia Texas and Austin College will conclude the series tomorrow.
