Plano East<\/a> and Princeton<\/a> pushed the score to 19-6 the last time they played Princeton, but on Saturday defenses reigned supreme. Plano East skirted past Princeton 2-1. Plano East hasn’t had any issues with Princeton recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.<\/p>\n Ella Anderson<\/a> spent all seven innings on the mound, and it’s clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn’t given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.<\/p>\n On the hitting side, Plano East’s victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Emerson Bailey<\/a>, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base was Bailey’s first of the season.<\/p>\n Plano East hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive games.<\/p>\n Plano East’s win bumped their record up to 6-10-2. As for Princeton, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.<\/p>\n We’ve got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Plano East is set to square off against their familiar foe Plano West at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Princeton will take on rival Rock Hill at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
