Project Overview<\/p>\n

The Garden Villa Lane Water and Wastewater Pipeline Renewal Project is part of Renewing Austin,<\/a> an Austin Water program to replace and upgrade aging water lines. Austin Water is improving our city’s water infrastructure by investing in upgrades and repairs of the existing water lines. Water line breaks are well documented in this area and the project is necessary to improve reliability for customers and to avoid further expenditures to maintain water lines that have broken frequently.<\/p>\n

The project will replace about 3,207 linear feet of water lines and 2,968 linear feet of wastewater lines. Austin Water is partnering with Austin Watershed Protection to include replacement of about 3,550 linear feet of stormwater lines in this project. Austin Water also partners with Austin Capital Delivery Services, whose project management staff supervise construction.<\/p>\n

Timeline<\/p>\n

Construction is expected to begin in the summer of 2025 and take about 18 months to complete.<\/p>\n
