AUSTIN, Texas \u2014 Buford’s Backyard Beer Garden announced Saturday that they had raised approximately $35,000 for the victims and families impacted by the 6th St. mass shooting that occurred March 1st. <\/p>\n

The incident occurred when 53-year-old Ndiaga Diagne killed three people and injured over a dozen others after opening fire on W 6th St. just before 2 a.m. on March 1st. Diagne was later shot and killed by Austin police. <\/p>\n

Buford’s owner pledged to donate all proceeds to the victims and their families in the days after they reopened following the shooting. <\/p>\n

Buford’s stated their gratitude to the community and how they have shown up to help as they have been working to process and move forward from the mass shooting. <\/p>\n
