North Texas is headed into the hottest day of the weekend heat<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Sunday will bring highs of 93 degrees with south wind gusts as high as 30 mph, according to the National Weather Service\u2019s Fort Worth office. <\/p>\n

Clear and sunny skies are in the forecast with no chance of rain. Nighttime temperatures are expected to bottom out at 60 degrees.<\/p>\n

The hot weather and high wind gusts have led to a critical fire threat in part of Dallas-Fort Worth on Sunday, the weather service said. <\/p>\n

The weather is expected to cool down after Sunday with daytime temperatures in the 80s in the front end of the coming week, according to the weather service\u2019s forecast. <\/p>\n

North Texans can expect some mid-week heat starting Wednesday with highs in the 90s. <\/p>\n
