Allen<\/a> and Plano<\/a> are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2018, but likely not for long. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Allen is coming into the contest hot, having won their last ten games.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, Allen made easy work of Rock Hill and carried off a 13-3 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by six runs or more this season.<\/p>\n

Yahmadi Morgan<\/a> made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn’t allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Morgan was also solid in the batter’s box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.<\/p>\n

In other batting news, Allen got a massive performance out of Alyssa Jackson<\/a>, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Jackson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kate Bettge<\/a>, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.<\/p>\n

Allen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .529. That was just more of the same: they’ve now posted a batting average of .400 or higher in six consecutive games.<\/p>\n

Plano came out on top against McKinney on Saturday thanks in part to the team’s impressive seven-run first inning. The Wildcats blew past the Lions 14-4. The Wildcats haven’t had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.<\/p>\n

Ashley Johnston<\/a> looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn’t given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.<\/p>\n

On the hitting side, Darby DeJean<\/a> was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Riley Miles<\/a> was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.<\/p>\n

Plano’s victory bumped their record up to 12-8-1. As for Allen, their win bumped their record up to 17-3.<\/p>\n

Plano’s pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Allen has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.7 hits per game. It’s a different story for Plano, though, as they’ve been averaging 8.7 hits. Given Allen’s sizable advantage in that area, the Wildcats will need to find a way to close that gap.<\/p>\n

Allen was able to grind out a solid victory over Plano in their previous matchup back in February, winning 7-3. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around?
