<\/p>\n AUSTIN, Texas\u00a0– Concordia Texas Softball completed its series sweep of Austin College with an 11-3 win,\u00a0using a dominant offensive performance to close out the weekend. Senior outfielder Kylie Denaro\u00a0also broke the program’s career stolen bases record at Roberts Family Field on Sunday.<\/p>\n The Tornados broke the game open in the second inning with a six-run frame. Karlee Mathis<\/a> and Lilly Longoria<\/a> each reached to set the table before Christian Everett<\/a> delivered an RBI single that helped spark the rally. Katie Bethke<\/a> followed with an RBI bunt single, and Malarie Mican<\/a> added another hit to keep the inning alive.<\/p>\n Denaro then came through with an RBI single, later stealing second before Mican stole home as part of an aggressive base-running sequence. Molly Olivarez<\/a> capped the inning with an RBI to give Concordia a commanding 6-0 lead.<\/p>\n Austin responded with a run in the third and added two more in the fourth, but the Tornados answered immediately. In the bottom of the fourth, Kylie Kirk<\/a> tripled and later scored, while a heads-up baserunning play from Morgan Holdren<\/a> resulted in another run to extend the lead to 8-3.<\/p>\n Concordia put the game away in the fifth inning. Christian Everett<\/a> opened the frame with a triple, and Malarie Mican<\/a> followed with an RBI single. After another hit from Denaro, Kirk\u00a0delivered a sacrifice fly, and Olivarez added another RBI on a sacrifice fly to seal the 11-3 victory.<\/p>\n The Tornados totaled 14 hits in the game, led by Mican’s 4-for-4 performance. Everett added three hits, while Olivarez drove in two runs in the win.<\/p>\n In the circle, Mia Post<\/a> earned the win, allowing three runs over 3.1 innings, while Mallory Mata<\/a> closed the door with 1.2 scoreless innings in relief.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
