{"id":217168,"date":"2026-03-23T22:21:15","date_gmt":"2026-03-23T22:21:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/217168\/"},"modified":"2026-03-23T22:21:15","modified_gmt":"2026-03-23T22:21:15","slug":"houston-rental-data-shows-more-single-family-homes-available-on-the-market","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/217168\/","title":{"rendered":"Houston rental data shows more single-family homes available on the market"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tHouston\u2019s single-family rental homes saw an 6.8% increase in leased properties compared to last February, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.har.com\/content\/department\/newsroom?pid=2223\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Houston Association of Realtors\u2019 February Rental Market Update<\/a> released March 18.<\/p>\n<p>By the numbers<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/1774304475_480_thumbnail.jpeg\" width=\"100%\" alt=\"visualization\"\/>Alongside the higher number of leased single-family homes, the average lease price declined by 0.6% compared to last year. The number of days on market for homes, however, increased, jumping to 50 days compared to 44 days last year, per the report.<\/p>\n<p>The townhome and condominium market saw some movement this past month as well. There were 569 properties listed, representing a 4.2% increase from the 546 units last February.
