Lazerith Carrillo has been sentenced to two 50-year concurrent sentences for the murders of Edward Jimenez, 32, and his ex-girlfriend Alyssa Perez, 26.<\/p>\n

SAN ANTONIO \u2014 A 22-year-old man has been sentenced for the 2023 murders of two people, including his ex-girlfriend, court documents say.<\/p>\n

Lazerith Carrillo has been sentenced to two 50-year concurrent sentences for the murders of 32-year-old Edward Jimenez and 26-year-old Alyssa Perez, his ex-girlfriend, in 2023.<\/p>\n

In January 2023<\/a>, police say the bodies of Jimenez and Perez were found in a vehicle before 2 a.m. near the 400 block of Trudell Drive, both with gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n

Officials were able to arrest Carrillo, 18 at the time, after he allegedly tried to steal a vehicle from another victim at gunpoint.<\/p>\n

While he was being arrested, court records say Carrillo was found in possession of the murder weapon, as well as the personal belongings of one of the victims.<\/p>\n

Forensic evidence later concluded Carrillo’s DNA and fingerprints were found inside the vehicle.<\/p>\n
