{"id":217901,"date":"2026-03-24T10:34:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-24T10:34:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/217901\/"},"modified":"2026-03-24T10:34:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-24T10:34:07","slug":"dallas-expected-to-switch-between-cooler-temps-and-summer-like-weather-this-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/217901\/","title":{"rendered":"Dallas expected to switch between cooler temps and summer-like weather this week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Multiple cold fronts should keep North Texans on their heels this week as temperatures fluctuate from the 70s to the 90s.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">On Sunday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/curious-texas\/2019\/02\/27\/why-are-official-weather-records-taken-at-dfw-airport-curious-texas-heads-out-to-the-runway\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/curious-texas\/2019\/02\/27\/why-are-official-weather-records-taken-at-dfw-airport-curious-texas-heads-out-to-the-runway\/\">DFW International Airport<\/a> set a daily temperature record, reaching 95 degrees for the first time this year and beating out the repeated 93 degrees record from 1934 and 1995. By Monday morning, cooler air moved in with temperatures in the 50s and afternoon highs in the 70s. Much of the work week should see a slow temperature increase, according to the National Weather Service\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/weather\/2026\/02\/13\/a-behind-the-scenes-look-at-the-d-fw-office-of-the-national-weather-service\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/weather\/2026\/02\/13\/a-behind-the-scenes-look-at-the-d-fw-office-of-the-national-weather-service\/\">Fort Worth office<\/a>, with a high in the mid-80s Tuesday and approaching 90 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">By Friday, another cold front is expected. The high is forecastto drop back to the low 80s on Friday, falling to 68 degrees Saturday. However, the chill won\u2019t last long, with highs back in the low 80s expected next week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Precipitation is not expected with these shifting temperatures, but heavier cloud cover is possible Friday and Saturday.
