{"id":218632,"date":"2026-03-24T20:54:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-24T20:54:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/218632\/"},"modified":"2026-03-24T20:54:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-24T20:54:07","slug":"city-of-austin-launches-hub-to-support-small-business-owners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/218632\/","title":{"rendered":"City of Austin launches hub to support small business owners"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AUSTIN, Texas \u2014 A new funding resource for small business owners has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austintexas.gov\/economic-development\/news\/austin-launches-funding-hub-support-small-businesses\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">announced<\/a> by the City of Austin.<\/p>\n<p>In partnership with global nonprofit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austintexas.gov\/economic-development\/programs\/austin-kiva-hub#449979011-1641746759\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kiva<\/a>, Austin will launch its first \u201cKiva Hub,\u201d which will provide crowdfunded microloans to local entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n<p>The program will offer 0% interest and no fees for loans ranging from $1,000 to $15,000. The loans provided through this program have no minimum credit score requirement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPartnering with Kiva showcases our shared commitment to empower small business owners\u2014regardless of background,\u201d Deputy Director of Austin Economic Development Anthony Segura said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p>The loans Kiva provides are crowdfunded, meaning the money comes directly from the local community.
