Photo by Simon Luna Studios.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/interfaithdallas.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Interfaith Family Services<\/a>, which aims to help families in poverty and is located on Matilda Street, raised $221,660 at its annual luncheon last month.<\/p>\n<p>The 11th Annual Auxiliary Luncheon at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasarboretum.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden<\/a> ushered in nearly 300 attendees, who heard testimonies about the challenges families face and the impact of Interfaith\u2019s programs. The organization offers housing for homeless families as well as rent and utility assistance, job training and placement, childcare, and youth programming, according to its website.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe overwhelming generosity demonstrated at this year\u2019s luncheon reflects a community that truly cares about the well-being of families and children,\u201d Interfaith Family Services CEO Kimberly Williams said in a press release. \u201cThese funds will directly support programs that provide safe housing, education, workforce development and critical resources that help families move from crisis to self-sufficiency.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Interfaith\u2019s leaders thanked the sponsors, donors, luncheon chairperson Katey Plummer and everyone else who helped make the event possible in the press release. <\/p>\n<p>                                                                                                                                                                                                                <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Madelyn Edwards\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/1774401910_963_de19317ca2dfde9f1923a5adc9302a9d640b82604d14deeec34c6ee45688a42a.jpeg\"  class=\"avatar avatar-80 photo\" height=\"80\" width=\"80\"\/>                                                                                                                                                                                                            <\/p>\n<p>I am a North Texas native with roots in Arlington and Benbrook, and I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2018.
