It\u2019s hard to believe that Sarah Michelle Gellar and Reese Witherspoon would be starstruck or be nervous around another famous name, but it happened.<\/p>\n
Gellar appeared on a recent episode of \u201cThe Kelly Clarkson Show\u201d<\/a> where she revealed that her and her husband, Freddie Prinze Jr.\u2019s son attended preschool with Adele\u2019s son.<\/p>\n The “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star’s son, Rocky, told her that he wanted to hang out with Adele\u2019s son, Angelo, but she admitted she an other parents were too intimidated to ask the singer.<\/p>\n \u201cThey [the kids] all loved Angelo. Everybody loved this kid,\u201d she explained. \u201cThey all wanted a play date, and everyone was like, \u2018Well, who\u2019s gonna call Adele and ask for a play date?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Gellar immediately bailed on the idea, joking, \u201cI was like, ‘Not it, not it, not it!’\u201d<\/p>\n One of the other parents in the group included Reese Witherspoon, who Gellar tried to rope into popping the playdate question.<\/p>\n \u201cReese Witherspoon\u2019s son [Tennessee] was also in the class. I\u2019m like, \u2018Reese, you\u2019re the most famous. You have to ask Adele for a [play date].'”<\/p>\n But the \u201cLegally Blonde\u201d star was just as shy. “She\u2019s like, \u2018I don\u2019t want to ask Adele!\u2019” Gellar said. “None of us wanted to ask. We were all so nervous.\u201d<\/p>\n Clarkson offered the encouraging idea that maybe Adele was just as nervous to ask them, but Gellar replied, \u201cI don\u2019t know, but we were so like, none of us wanted to ask her.\u201d<\/p>\n It\u2019s unclear if the kids ever got their playdate, but Adele and Angelo eventually returned to London.<\/p>\n \u201cShe came into class and she brought all of these double-decker buses and a whole book about where her son was moving to,\u201d Gellar said. \u201cAnd our son came home and [he] was like, \u2018Yeah, his mom came to school.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Of course, Gellar was bummed she missed out on meeting Adele at the school, admitting, \u201cWe\u2019re all like, \u2018What! What!
