But according to the Mount Pleasant Police Department, the mayor\u2019s claims aren\u2019t correct, and video footage proves it. <\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Meanwhile, social media users have criticized Lone Star Mayor Brianna McClain for requesting an officer from her town leave the city limits to escort her daughter and friends back from Mount Pleasant. <\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">McClain posted that her daughter was \u201cnearly abducted\u201d that night while she was with her boyfriend and friends at Walmart in Mount Pleasant.
