FORT SMITH, Ark. (March 25, 2026) \u2013 Lubbock Christian University closed play at the Hardscrabble Invitational with a fourth-place finish Tuesday, posting a final-round 316 to finish at 935 (+95) over 54 holes at Hardscrabble Country Club.

\nThe Lady Chaparrals remained in the thick of a tightly contested leaderboard throughout the event, ultimately securing a top-five finish in a field that featured four nationally ranked programs. LCU opened the tournament with rounds of 309 and 310 Monday and held steady in fourth place despite a challenging final round.

\nSenior Ali Escamilla led the Lady Chaps with a consistent three-round performance, finishing tied for 10th at 233 (+23). After opening with rounds of 76 and 77, Escamilla carded an 80 in Tuesday’s final round. Her steady play was highlighted by 31 total pars, tying for fourth-most in the field.

\nAnaya Perales<\/a> followed closely, finishing tied for 16th at 235 (+25). Perales, who surged with an even-par 72 in Monday’s second round, closed with an 82. She remained one of the top performers on par-5 holes throughout the tournament, finishing second in the field with a 4.67 scoring average (-3) on those holes while also tying for second in total birdies (eight).

\nFreshman Abby Archunde placed tied for 21st at 237 (+27), posting a final-round 80. Nadalie Cannell<\/a> added a 79 Tuesday to finish tied for 28th at 239 (+29), while Hailey Hays<\/a> rounded out the team scoring with a 77 in the final round to place 31st overall at 240 (+30), marking one of LCU’s better individual improvements on the day.

\nAs a team, LCU continued to show balance across the scorecard. The Lady Chaps ranked third in the field in par-3 scoring (3.35, +26) and fourth on par-5s (5.16, +7), while also finishing third in total birdies (24). Their 122 pars ranked fifth among the 14-team field, reinforcing a steady, methodical approach throughout the tournament.

\nMidwestern State claimed the team title at 899 (+59), followed by Arkansas Tech (904, +64) and host Arkansas-Fort Smith (928, +88). LCU finished just four strokes clear of fifth-place Henderson State (939, +99).

\nIndividually, Arkansas Tech’s Ellen Spigner captured medalist honors at 215 (+5), while multiple players clustered tightly behind her, underscoring the competitive nature of the field.

\nDespite a higher-scoring final round, LCU’s ability to remain in the upper tier of the standings highlighted a consistent team effort across all three rounds, particularly against a field stacked with regional contenders.
