1.\u00a0Supreme Court weighs Trump bid to curb asylum claims at southern border<\/a><\/p>\n

The Supreme Court heard arguments on whether the Trump administration should be allowed to turn away asylum-seekers along the southern border before they set foot in the United States.<\/p>\n

Outside the Supreme Court on Tuesday, immigration advocates raised concerns about President Donald Trump bringing back a policy to turn away people at the U.S.-Mexico border fleeing political, racial or religious persecution.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0Williamson County GOP agrees to go back to countywide voting for May runoff<\/a><\/p>\n

The Williamson County Republican Party announced this past weekend it will go back to countywide voting for the May runoff election after a rule change for primary voting led to confusion on Election Day earlier this month.<\/p>\n

Williamson County was one of two counties in Texas where Republicans opted against countywide voting during the primary election.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0Texas Education Agency names new Fort Worth ISD superintendent<\/a><\/p>\n

The Texas Education Agency has named\u00a0Dr. Peter B. Licata the new superintendent of Fort Worth ISD and appointed a Board of Managers to lead the school district.<\/p>\n

The TEA says the change in leadership comes to help Fort Worth ISD address the issues that led to\u00a0intervention.<\/p>\n
