Allen<\/a> extended their winning streak to 11 on Tuesday, bumping them up to 18-3. Everything went their way against the Plano Wildcats<\/a> as they made off with a 10-2 win. Considering the Eagles have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday’s blowout was nothing new.<\/p>\n Yahmadi Morgan<\/a> spent all seven innings on the mound, and it’s clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn’t given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.<\/p>\n At the plate, Claire McKeever<\/a> and Harper Dennis<\/a> did most of the damage at the plate: McKeever got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base, while Dennis fired off two home runs while going 2-for-5. Dennis has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last four times she’s played. Another player making a difference was Addison King<\/a>, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases and three runs.<\/p>\n Allen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They are a perfect 16-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.<\/p>\n As for Plano, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9-1. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, they couldn’t push the score so high this time.<\/p>\n On Plano’s side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Pecenka<\/a>, who went 1-for-3 with one run.<\/p>\n Looking ahead, Allen will square off against McKinney at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Plano, they will take on Princeton at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they’ve allowed 10.81 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.<\/p>\n
