DALLAS \u2014 Dallas police are investigating after a human skull was found Tuesday along a trail in southern Dallas, officials said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Officers responded around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, to the 8200 block of Mayforge Drive, according to a Dallas Police Department incident report obtained by WFAA. Police received a call from a man who was working in the area around 2 p.m. on Tuesday when he noticed a human skull near the trail, the report states.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The man, who said he was working to clear the trail, didn’t immediately call police because he wasn’t sure if the skull was real, the report states.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The man took investigators to the remains that the medical examiner later confirmed to be real. The examiner also noted that the skull had suffered from blunt force trauma, the report states.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The medical examiner listed the incident as an unexplained death.
