Technology lifecycle and infrastructure solutions provider Ivy Technology has acquired Tempest Telecom Solutions, a provider of wireless network technology equipment and solutions serving telecom, enterprise, and government customers.<\/p>\n

The acquisition reinforces Plano-based Ivy Technology\u2019s telecom portfolio and expands its ability to support customers in both wireless and wireline network infrastructure. While telecom networks are evolving to support 5G expansion, edge infrastructure, and rising data demand, organizations are seeking partners that can support the full lifecycle of network technologies, the company said.<\/p>\n

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis acquisition reflects our continued commitment to helping customers maximize the value of their technology investments while supporting the evolution of global communications infrastructure,\u201d Ivy Technology CEO Scott Greer said in a statement. \u201cTempest brings strong expertise in wireless network technologies that complement our existing capabilities and expands the ways we support customers across the technology lifecycle.\u201d<\/p>\n

Greer added that as networks continue to evolve, his company \u201cis uniquely positioned to help organizations deploy, manage, and extend the life of critical infrastructure while advancing more sustainable, circular approaches to technology.\u201d<\/p>\n

Growth and innovation<\/p>\n

With extensive experience in wireless network technology equipment and services, Tempest Telecom Solutions enhances Ivy Technology\u2019s foundation in wireline-focused telecom services. The combined companies will offer a broader range of solutions to support the deployment, expansion, and lifecycle management of critical communications infrastructure, Ivy Technology said.<\/p>\n

The transaction builds on Ivy Technology\u2019s recent purchase of PureWrx, further growing the company\u2019s equipment sales and lifecycle capabilities. By adding Tempest, Ivy continues to improve its customer support across the entire technology lifecycle\u2014from finding and deploying equipment to maintaining, recovering, and reusing it.<\/p>\n

Tempest Telecom Solutions will also benefit from Ivy Technology\u2019s global operational footprint, advanced IT platforms, and strategic investment in innovation and growth, Ivy said. By leveraging Ivy\u2019s infrastructure and resources, the combined organization will be better able to scale operations and deliver greater value to customers, the company added.<\/p>\n

Per Ivy Technology, strategic benefits of the acquisition include expansion of the company\u2019s telecom market share and customer base; increased equipment sales capabilities, complementing Ivy\u2019s recent PureWrx acquisition; introduction of wireless network technology products and commodities to Ivy\u2019s telecom portfolio; expanded opportunities to deepen customer relationships and increase share of wallet; and new enterprise, government, and telecom customer engagements.<\/p>\n

The two companies said they also will boost Ivy Technology\u2019s role in the circular economy by helping customers extend the life of technology assets, optimize infrastructure investments, and reduce waste across the technology lifecycle.<\/p>\n
