Pickle Fest is back in the Coastal Bend this weekend, bringing a full day of food, drinks, vendors, and family-friendly fun as the popular event continues to grow each year at Nueces Brewing and BBQ.<\/p>\n
What started as a simple idea among friends has turned into a signature local festival celebrating all things pickle\u2014from food and drinks to games and creative attractions.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s all about pickle. It just keeps getting bigger and bigger\u2026 Corpus Christi loves it. It\u2019s a great time,\u201d said Cale Moore, co-owner of Nueces Brewing Company.<\/p>\n
Moore says the festival has expanded significantly over the years, now featuring more vendors than ever before, including local food trucks and businesses putting their own spin on pickle-inspired dishes.<\/p>\n
Pickle Fest takes place Saturday at Nueces Brewing Company located at 401 S. Water St. Doors open at 11 a.m., with festivities running until about 6 p.m.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve got tons of local vendors\u2026 each one is doing something special for this event. It\u2019s super special to get everyone together,\u201d Moore said.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s festival includes an expanded menu of pickle-themed offerings, including pickle wings brined in pickle juice and multiple specialty pickle beers brewed specifically for the event. One of the new highlights is a spicy chamoy dill beer called \u201cDeal with the Devil,\u201d alongside returning favorites like the brewery\u2019s signature pickle beer.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith pickles, it\u2019s always good. The problem is whittling it down\u2026 everything is delicious when you put a pickle on it,\u201d Moore added.<\/p>\n
Beyond food and drinks, Pickle Fest also features family-friendly entertainment, including face painting, a vendor marketplace, and a mechanical bull redesigned as a \u201cmechanical pickle.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cBring the whole family, come have some fun\u2026 even bring your dog,\u201d Moore said.<\/p>\n
