The combination of heat, low humidity and gusty winds will make any fires spread rapidly and be difficult to control, creating a critical fire weather threat across the area.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"KCBD\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/36ZUOPCHNJCRNI2Y3BUN2I6A3I.PNG\" width=\"980\" height=\"546\" \/>KCBD(KCBD)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Highs will be in the upper 90s today. The record for Lubbock\u2019s high temperature today is 92\u00b0 set back in 2020, that will likely be broken this afternoon.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"KCBD\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/W33TTXXOFFE5VEJR7SLTAPCO3U.PNG\" width=\"980\" height=\"641\" \/>KCBD(KCBD)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">A Red Flag warning has been issued for majority of the viewing area with relative humidity values expected to drop as low as 4%.
