A spokesperson for Weir\u2019s said the stores will likely officially close in May or June.<\/p>\n<p>A decision to close the stores was made after evaluating the company\u2019s long-term financial position, market conditions and operational challenges, per the news release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was an extremely difficult decision, but closing now enables us to honor J. Ray and Bea\u2019s legacy by finishing well and taking care of our employees,\u201d said Al Boulden, Weir\u2019s chairman of the board.<\/p>\n<p>Weir\u2019s operates four stores, one each in Dallas, Farmers Branch, Plano and Southlake. The store sells furniture for all rooms, including sofas, chairs, lamps and tables.<\/p>\n<p>Closing after all items are sold, sales began March 265801 Preston Road, Plano; 201 N.
