A rally protesting Iran\u2019s current leadership is planned for Thursday, March 26 outside the Conservative Political Action Conference in Grapevine.<\/p>\n

The demonstrators will be at the Gaylord Resort and Convention Center entrance all day and plan to form a human chain from 5 to 7 p.m., according to a flyer distributed by IranzVoiceDFW<\/a>. At 9:20 a.m. Thursday, no protestors were present at the entrance.<\/p>\n

The rally is in support of the former crown prince of the Pahlavi dynasty of Iran, Reza Pahlavi, who is set to speak<\/a> at the conference. A CPAC spokesperson said the conference is not affiliated with the demonstration, though CPAC\u2019s website states the conference proudly backs Pahlavi.<\/p>\n

Pahlavi is the son of the last Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who was dethroned in the 1979 Islamic Revolution. As a result of the revolution, the Iranian monarchy was abolished and replaced with the Islamic Republic of Iran, which President Donald Trump is aiming to oust<\/a> with the war.<\/p>\n
