EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 El Paso police arrested a 25-year-old woman who they said stole an SUV from a convenience store and led officers on a chase that ended when she crashed into pursuing patrol units, injuring two officers.<\/p>\n

According to the El Paso Police Department, on Wednesday, at around 6:55 p.m., Vanessa Loreli Ronnebaum allegedly stole a 2009 Chevrolet Equinox from a store located at 3001 N. Yarbrough Drive, near Album Park, in East El Paso. <\/p>\n

EPPD said officers then spotted the stolen Equinox near Matamoros Drive and Giles Road, near the El Paso Community College Valle Verde campus in the Lower Valley, approximately 3 miles south of where the SUV was reported stolen. <\/p>\n

EPPD explained that while officers tried to pull the stolen SUV over, the driver refused and triggered a short pursuit, which at one point had the suspect driving on the wrong side of the road. <\/p>\n

According to EPPD, the chase came to a crashing end when Ronnebaum reportedly rammed the stolen Equinox into the driver’s side of a police vehicle.<\/p>\n

In the end, two officers were taken to the hospital and Ronnebaum was booked into the El Paso County Jail downtown.<\/p>\n

Ronnebaum is being charged with:<\/p>\n

According to jail records, as of Friday afternoon, Ronnebaum remains jailed under a combined bond amount of $115,000. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the two injured police officers were discharged from the hospital the same day. <\/p>\n
