I don\u2019t want to hype this up too much, because this really isn\u2019t about us \u2014 it\u2019s about the bands and the music. That said, the guys in Mojave Sol deserve a little spotlight.<\/p>\n
Mojave Sol have\u00a0been steadily growing, sharpening their sound, and showing up with nothing but a chill, positive attitude every time. They don\u2019t posture, they don\u2019t complain, and they definitely don\u2019t act like the world owes them anything. They just keep showing up, plugging in, and playing.<\/p>\n
Over a month ago\u00a0I reached out to the band with the intention of getting them on the air. Unfortunately, life threw me a curveball and I ended up spending ten days in the hospital. I\u2019m not even sure the band knew about that situation \u2014 but they never got impatient, never asked why things stalled, and never made it weird. They just waited it out. That kind of quiet professionalism says a lot and is always why they are top choice when national acts need a solid band on the bill.<\/p>\n
We finally locked in a radio spot last weekend. And of course, because the universe has a sense of humor, the transmitter decided to fail right then. Fans who were listening online were able to catch it, but it\u2019s just not the same as hearing it broadcast the way radio was meant to be heard \u2014 loud, full, and driving down the road.<\/p>\n
We\u2019re Giving Mojave Sol and Violent Vendetta Another Run<\/p>\n
There\u2019s a certain energy that comes from the way broadcast processing hits a track \u2014 a depth, punch, and polish that streaming alone doesn\u2019t quite match. So we\u2019re running it back.<\/p>\n
This Sunday around 12:15\u201312:20, we\u2019ll be rolling \u201cPanacea\u201d again, so Mojave Sol and their fans can hear it the way it deserves to be heard \u2014 cranked up in cars all over town.<\/p>\n
And there\u2019s more. We already had the guys from Violent Vendetta, originally from Big Spring and now based in Lubbock, scheduled for Saturday. Their new track will hit the air around 2:20 on Wes\u2019s Rusty Metal Box. You’ll hear me say it on air, but thier new track has both echo’s of Killswitch, with a lot of latter day Pantera in it, while still being as hard as nails.<\/p>\n
