Three people were killed in a shooting Friday at Birdville Stadium in Haltom City<\/a>, police officials wrote in a news release.<\/p>\n

Officers were dispatched shortly before 4:30 p.m. to the stadium parking lot in the 6100 block of East Belknap after receiving reports of a shooting, the news release said.<\/p>\n

More than a dozen police and emergency vehicles surrounded a U-Haul truck cordoned off with caution tape outside the stadium. Officers established a perimeter around the rental vehicle at the stadium, under overcast skies.<\/p>\n

Three people were shot, including the shooter, according to the authorities. One person, the shooter, was found outside a vehicle, and two victims were found inside a car, police said. All three of them, two females and one male, died. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe do not have reason to believe that the incident was related to Birdville Independent School District,\u201d the release said. Police said this is believed to be an isolated incident. <\/p>\n

Birdville ISD didn\u2019t immediately return a request.<\/p>\n
