{"id":224084,"date":"2026-03-28T03:26:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-28T03:26:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/224084\/"},"modified":"2026-03-28T03:26:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-28T03:26:07","slug":"wt-registers-impressive-performances-in-lubbock-and-raleigh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/224084\/","title":{"rendered":"WT Registers Impressive Performances in Lubbock and Raleigh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n                    &#13;<br \/>\n                        Story Links&#13;<br \/>\n                        &#13;<\/p>\n<p>                     CANYON, Texas \u2013\u00a0West Texas A&amp;M Track &amp; Field closed out impressive performances at the Masked Rider Open in Lubbock as well as the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, North Carolina.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nWest Texas A&amp;M returns to the track next week in the Hill Country, taking part in the 98th\u00a0Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays as well as the Bobcat Invitational.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nMasked Rider Open<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/gobuffsgo.com\/sports\/womens-track-and-field\/roster\/priscilla-anaglo\/14316\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"14316\" target=\"_blank\">Priscilla Anaglo<\/a> claimed a pair of Top-10 finishes in Lubbock on Thursday as the freshman ran a 24.29 to finish sixth in the 200m while also finishing 10th\u00a0in the 100m (11.94). <a href=\"https:\/\/gobuffsgo.com\/sports\/womens-track-and-field\/roster\/asana-hamidu\/14305\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"14305\" target=\"_blank\">Asana Hamidu<\/a> registered a time of 56.00 for a third-place finish in the 400m final followed by <a href=\"https:\/\/gobuffsgo.com\/sports\/womens-track-and-field\/roster\/sierra-cornell\/14319\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"14319\" target=\"_blank\">Sierra Cornell<\/a> in fifth (56.18).\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/gobuffsgo.com\/sports\/womens-track-and-field\/roster\/isabella-celis\/14299\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"14299\" target=\"_blank\">Isabella Celis<\/a> crossed the finish line sixth in the women&#8217;s 800m with a time of 2:21.48 to win heat two while <a href=\"https:\/\/gobuffsgo.com\/sports\/womens-track-and-field\/roster\/yvonne-legarreta\/14309\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"14309\" target=\"_blank\">Yvonne Legarreta<\/a> ran a time of 5:00.96 in the 1,500m to place third. The 100m hurdles saw a trio of Lady Buffs finish inside the Top-10 led by <a href=\"https:\/\/gobuffsgo.com\/sports\/womens-track-and-field\/roster\/taylor-gonzalez\/14303\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"14303\" target=\"_blank\">Taylor Gonzalez<\/a> in fifth (14.26) followed by <a href=\"https:\/\/gobuffsgo.com\/sports\/womens-track-and-field\/roster\/kailee-benton\/14298\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"14298\" target=\"_blank\">Kailee Benton<\/a> (7th, 14.50) and <a href=\"https:\/\/gobuffsgo.com\/sports\/womens-track-and-field\/roster\/hattie-harrison\/14321\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"14321\" target=\"_blank\">Hattie Harrison<\/a> (14.77). Gonzalez would also run a 1:03.76 in the 400m hurdles to finish seventh.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/gobuffsgo.com\/sports\/womens-track-and-field\/roster\/hope-gray\/14304\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"14304\" target=\"_blank\">Hope Gray<\/a> continued the impressive start to the outdoor campaign in the women&#8217;s hammer throw with a mark of 53.81m on her second attempt to win the event, she also finished 10th\u00a0in the discus (41.38m). <a href=\"https:\/\/gobuffsgo.com\/sports\/womens-track-and-field\/roster\/kedan-burch\/14317\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"14317\" target=\"_blank\">Kedan Burch<\/a> claimed a seventh-place finish in the shot put (11.95m) while <a href=\"https:\/\/gobuffsgo.com\/sports\/womens-track-and-field\/roster\/abigail-provost\/14313\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"14313\" target=\"_blank\">Abigail Provost<\/a> finished sixth in the hammer (45.82m).<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nWT featured a pair of Top-10 finishers in the men&#8217;s 100m dash as <a href=\"https:\/\/gobuffsgo.com\/sports\/mens-track-and-field\/roster\/kareem-small\/14370\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"14370\" target=\"_blank\">Kareem Small<\/a> ran a 10.42 to finish third followed by <a href=\"https:\/\/gobuffsgo.com\/sports\/mens-track-and-field\/roster\/jace-lynch\/14335\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"14335\" target=\"_blank\">Jace Lynch<\/a> in eighth (10.73). <a href=\"https:\/\/gobuffsgo.com\/sports\/mens-track-and-field\/roster\/james-dadzie\/14328\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"14328\" target=\"_blank\">James Dadzie<\/a> impressed in the 200m with a mark of 20.69 to finish sixth overall.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nRaphael Gomis registered a time of 14.39 to place seventh in the men&#8217;s 110m hurdles followed by teammate <a href=\"https:\/\/gobuffsgo.com\/sports\/mens-track-and-field\/roster\/brayden-cervantes\/14367\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"14367\" target=\"_blank\">Brayden Cervantes<\/a> in 10th\u00a0(14.91).
