{"id":224453,"date":"2026-03-28T10:42:13","date_gmt":"2026-03-28T10:42:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/224453\/"},"modified":"2026-03-28T10:42:13","modified_gmt":"2026-03-28T10:42:13","slug":"dallas-stars-promote-rich-peverley-to-assistant-general-manager","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/224453\/","title":{"rendered":"Dallas Stars promote Rich Peverley to assistant general manager"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/dallas-stars\/25\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/dallas-stars\/25\" target=\"_blank\">Dallas Stars<\/a> announced a promotion for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/rich-peverley\/8471514\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/player\/rich-peverley\/8471514\" target=\"_blank\">Rich Peverley<\/a> on Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The former NHLer has been named assistant general manager-player personnel.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cRich\u2019s promotion speaks to his impact on our organization and his hard work behind the scenes identifying, developing and working alongside our players,\u201d Stars GM Jim Nill said in a statement. \u201cHe has been able to use his vast experience and knowledge from his NHL career to become an invaluable part of our hockey operations team over the last decade.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Peverley, 43, is in his 11th season with the team after having spent his final NHL campaign in Dallas. He had previously been the club\u2019s director of player personnel.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">A native of Kingston, Ont., Peverley appeared in 442 NHL games across nine seasons with the Stars, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/boston-bruins\/6\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/boston-bruins\/6\" target=\"_blank\">Boston Bruins<\/a>, Atlanta Thrashers and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/nashville-predators\/18\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/nashville-predators\/18\" target=\"_blank\">Nashville Predators<\/a> from 2007 to 2014. For his career, he had 84 goals and 157 assists.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Peverley was a member of the Bruins team that won the Stanley Cup in 2011.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Dallas Stars announced a promotion for Rich Peverley on Friday.
