Not exactly, but if you\u2019ve spotted fins cutting through the water downtown, you\u2019re not imagining it.<\/p>\n<p>The River Walk made waves online Friday, March 27, when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reels\/DWaLR-cjMwa\/\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">Visit San Antonio shared footage <\/a>of the sighting. In a Hollywood twist, the \u201cshark\u201d activity came courtesy of Netflix, with fins sporting the streaming service\u2019s signature \u201cN.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The fins are tied to a promotional stunt ahead of the April 10 release of Thrash, a survival thriller about a coastal town hit by a catastrophic hurricane that traps residents as floodwaters unleash sharks. The Texas appearance follows a similar rollout in Chicago, where \u201csharks\u201d were seen breaking the surface along the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reels\/DV39NE5EfbD\/\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">river during St. Patrick\u2019s Day<\/a> weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Promo stunt aside, locals had their own take, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysanantonio.com\/lifestyle\/article\/san-antonio-river-walk-swimming-fines-22079222.php\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">tourists regularly make a splash<\/a> each year while reaching for phones, wallets, or cameras. One Instagram commenter joked the fins are Netflix\u2019s way of keeping people out of the water: \u201cGotta stop these people from jumping in there for their phones somehow,\u201d wrote @tony.alers12.<\/p>\n<p>Visit San Antonio says the fins are expected along downtown stretches and toward Museum Reach and the Pearl, generally between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 28.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Sharks in the San Antonio River Walk?
