Texas singer-songwriter Radney Foster received the Living Legend Award at the 16th annual T3R Texas Music & Radio Awards Monday at Texas Live! in Arlington. The show featured the biggest Texas country stars and radio personalities from all over the nation.<\/p>\n
Foster first gained attention as half of the duo Foster & Lloyd along with Bill Lloyd, the first duo in history to top the country charts with their debut single. Foster then established himself as a solo artist in the early \u201990s with his critically acclaimed release \u201cDel Rio, Texas 1959.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Foster has written eight No.1 hit singles, including his own \u201cNobody Wins,\u201d and \u201cCrazy Over You\u201d with Foster & Lloyd.<\/p>\n
Also recognized were three new national partnerships that Texas Regional Radio Music Association has gained this year: Chip Ganassi Racing, the National Medal of Honor Museum in Arlington and American Hat Co.<\/p>\n
Foster\u2019s discography includes many cuts by artists ranging anywhere from country (Keith Urban, The Chicks, Brooks & Dunn, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band) to contemporary (Marc Broussard, Hootie & The Blowfish, Kenny Loggins, Los Lonely Boys, George Benson). His songs have sold 50 million copies worldwide and he recently was inducted into the Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Other artists who performed included Female Vocalist of the Decade, Bri Bagwell, along with Josh Weathers, Kylie Frey, Billie Jo and Sundance Head. The show was hosted by radio veteran Eric Raines of Austin\u2019s 95.9 Texas Country and co-hosted by Raines\u2019 former partner Rita Ballou of KOKE-FM in Austin.<\/p>\n
The T3R Texas Regional Radio Awards show weekend kicked off Sunday with the Future Faces Show in the PBR Cowboy Bar inside Texas Live!, with a performance by Love & Chaos at the end. The Future Faces artists of 2026 included Adysen Malek, America Allen, Austin Dixon, Bubba Westly, Caleb Sutton, Delaney Ann, Roland Whitt and Sheila Marshall. These winning artists performed at the awards show.<\/p>\n
LKCM Media Group \u201c95.9 The Ranch\u201d KFWR Fort Worth swept the Super Market categories, taking home Station of the Year and On-Air Personality of the Year for Shayne Hollinger. Kansas Broadcast Company \u201c96.3 The Marshal\u201d KERP in Ingalls, Kansas, swept the Out of Region categories. <\/p>\n
