After opening the season 0\u20135, the Lady Chaps have gone 17\u201310 since. Included in the latest stretch is a 5\u20133 mark on an eight-game road trip and followed with a 4\u20132 homestand before their Friday doubleheader split at UT Tyler.&#13;<br \/>\n\tOffensively, LCU is hitting .282 as a team with 251 hits, including 44 doubles, six triples and 14 home runs, averaging 4.75 runs per game (152 total runs). They have also been aggressive on the bases, going 31-for-42 in stolen base attempts (73.8%).&#13;<br \/>\n\tLCU&#8217;s defense remains among the elite in NCAA Division II, ranking No. 2 nationally and No. 1 in the Lone Star Conference with 18 double plays turned (0.56 per game). The Lady Chaps are fielding at a .955 clip.&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/lcuchaps.com\/sports\/softball\/roster\/kadin-vire\/4724\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"4724\" target=\"_blank\">Kadin Vire<\/a> continues to pace the offense, hitting .412 (42-for-102) with 10 doubles, three triples and two home runs. She owns a .627 slugging percentage and .474 on-base percentage, while ranking among the top 10 in the LSC in batting average and top 100 nationally.
