They say if you don’t like the weather in Texas, wait a day, and it’ll be different. This sentiment rings true as a cold front is barreling toward San Antonio today, Friday, March 27, sending temps into a 60-degree nosedive<\/a> in parts of the state.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Though it will be warm for the first half of the day, with skies clearing up,\u00a0the National Weather Service<\/a> (NWS) predicts the front will arrive this afternoon and into the evening. News 4 meteorologist Chris Suchan predicts it will arrive in Bexar County between 5 and 7 p.m., according to a post<\/a> on Facebook. With the front’s arrival comes strong wind gusts, ranging\u00a0from 30 to 40\u00a0mph. If you have plans out and about on Friday evening, it’d be wise to bring a layer to throw on (us Texans are not known for handling chilly weather\u00a0well, after all).<\/p>\n

As the front barrels toward the greater San Antonio area, clouds will return as temperatures take a chilly 30-degree dip between Friday’s high and low, sticking around through Saturday with morning temps in the 40s and 50s on Saturday, March 28, with highs in the low 70s, teeing up near-perfect\u00a0weather for the final Saturday of March. Things will start to heat up on Sunday, March 29, with highs in the low 80s.\u00a0<\/p>\n
