On Saturday, the Texas Rangers<\/a> will play their second game of the 2026 MLB season when they face off against the Phillies in Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

The Rangers are coming off a 5-3 loss to the Phillies on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Texas Rangers Announce Jacob DeGrom News\"\"\"\"<\/p>\n

Before Saturday\u2019s game, the Rangers announced that star pitcher Jacob DeGrom had been ruled out.<\/p>\n

Texas Rangers PR wrote:<\/a> \u201cRHP Jacob deGrom has been scratched from Saturday\u2019s scheduled start in Philadelphia due to neck stiffness. LHP Jacob Latz<\/a> will make today\u2019s start for Texas.\u201d<\/p>\n

DeGrom is coming off his third season playing for Texas.<\/p>\n

He made the All-Star Game, going 12-8 with a 2.97 ERA in 30 games.<\/p>\n

Following Saturday and Sunday\u2019s games with the Phillies, the Rangers will visit the Baltimore Orioles<\/a> on March 30.<\/p>\n
