Plano West<\/a> came tearing into Friday’s matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Rock Hill Blue Hawks<\/a>. This was a revenge game for the Wolves: when they faced off against the Blue Hawks back in February, they had to take a 7-1 defeat.<\/p>\n Kendall Prowell<\/a> made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up four earned runs off ten hits. Prowell was also solid in the batter’s box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.<\/p>\n In other batting news, Beetle Nell<\/a> was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brooke Reasoner<\/a>, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.<\/p>\n Plano West was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. That was just more of the same: they’ve now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in five consecutive games.<\/p>\n Plano West’s record is now 13-8-1. As for Rock Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.<\/p>\n We’ve got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Plano West will challenge rival Plano at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rock Hill is set to face off against their familiar foe Prosper at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
