HOUSTON \u2013 With TSA wait times at Bush Airport in Houston stretching beyond 4+ hours at times, it\u2019s sparked some entrepreneurs or less-stressed travelers to cash in on the crisis. <\/p>\n
Social media is buzzing with people who claim they\u2019ve bought spots in the long TSA lines for hundreds of dollars. <\/p>\n
One Instagram user says they spent $500 to cut the line at Bush Airport on Friday morning. <\/p>\n
At the same time, an announcement is playing every few minutes in the terminal. <\/p>\n
\u201cHouston Airport does not endorse any for hire line standing services,\u201c the woman\u2019s voice says. \u201dFor your security, passengers should not pay individuals offering to hold their place in line as they are not authorized and have not been vetted. Please remain with your belongings and use only official airport queue. Passengers who choose to use unauthorized services do so at their own risk.\u201d<\/p>\n
One entrepeneur is trying to make a quick buck on the long TSA lines. <\/p>\n
Steven Dial is charging $65 per hour waited in line, plus parking costs, according to his facebook post. <\/p>\n
Does it cut as cutting the line? That\u2019s up to your own interpretation. <\/p>\n
However, cutting the line is another problem on it\u2019s own. One group of travelers say a man jumped line and the airport staff let it happen. <\/p>\n
\u201cWell, we\u2019ve been here for four or five hours. For somebody to just come and jump the line, I don\u2019t think it\u2019s right,\u201d one traveller told KPRC 2\u2019s Gage Goulding on Thursday. \u201cSomebody should do something about it. They said, \u2018Oh, carry on. Carry on.\u2019 If they can\u2019t enforce it then what\u2019s the point of waiting five hours. We\u2019ve been waiting for so long.\u201d <\/p>\n
