<\/a>Kristopher Florez and Mariah Ochoa of Lubbock were injured Wednesday when two motorcycles collided on South Loop 289 between Quaker Avenue and Slide Road.<\/p>\n\nAccording to the Lubbock Police Department, Kristopher Florez, 26, was riding east in the left lane of South Loop 289 between Quaker Avenue and Slide Road. At around 8:45 p.m., his motorcycle collided with another eastbound bike traveling ahead of him. Both bikes slid down the roadway before coming to rest.<\/p>\n
\nFlorez and his passenger, Mariah Ochoa, 20, sustained moderate injuries and were transported to University Medical Center. The driver of the other motorcycle also was injured and was taken to the same facility.<\/p>\n
\nThe Lubbock Police Department continues to investigate.<\/p>\n
