The\u00a0Denver Broncos<\/a>\u00a0got a big 44-24 win<\/a> over the\u00a0Dallas Cowboys<\/a> on Sunday, but the victory came at a cost.<\/p>\n

Broncos<\/a> wide receiver Marvin Mims entered the NFL’s concussion protocol, tight end\/fullback Nate Adkins suffered a knee injury and star cornerback Pat Surtain was ruled out in the third quarter with a shoulder injury<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Denver defensive lineman D.J. Jones was also evaluated for a possible concussion during the game, and fellow defensive lineman Zach Allen received treatment from trainers, but both players later returned to action.<\/p>\n

“[I’m] not going to discuss any of the players that were injured — at all,” coach Sean Payton said after the game.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere on the injury front, tight end Lucas Krull — who is currently on injured reserve with a foot injury — will undergo surgery<\/a> early this week. It’s to-be-determined if it will be a season-ending surgery for Krull.<\/p>\n

The Broncos will practice next Wednesday and we should get more updates on the injury front then. News on Surtain might arrive sooner, depending on the severity of the injury.<\/p>\n
