SAN ANTONIO – Police say they shut down an illegal gambling operation on the city\u2019s East Side, seizing dozens of slot machines in a bust the department called a \u201cbig win.\u201d<\/p>\n
On Friday, the San Antonio Police Department\u2019s Fear-Free Environment (SAFFE) Unit said on Facebook that its East SAFFE team \u201csuccessfully executed a major operation at the 4400 block of Rittiman Rd, shutting down an illegal gambling front and getting these machines off our streets.\u201d<\/p>\n
Police said 50 slot machines were seized and decommissioned, and that the illegal gambling operation was halted.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis isn’t just about games, these unregulated rooms often bring unwanted activity to our neighborhoods,\u201d the SAFFE Unit wrote, adding, \u201cHuge shoutout to the officers who worked tirelessly to coordinate this bust.
