Police Department’s Spring Drug Take Back Set for April 25, 2026 <\/p>\n

The Arlington Police Department is hosting a prescription drug collection event at three collection sites in coordination with the US DEA\u2019s National Drug Take Back Day. Residents can participate in an anonymous, safe disposal between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026.<\/p>\n

By properly and safely disposing your expired and unused medications, you can help prevent accidental overdoses. The Drug Take Back event also helps Arlington Water Utilities protect Arlington\u2019s water supply by encouraging proper drug disposal.<\/p>\n

Collection sites for the April 25 event are:<\/p>\n


\nWalgreens: 4400 W. Green Oaks Blvd.
\nOtt Cribbs Public Safety Center: 620 W. Division St.
\nDr. Theron L. Bowman South Police Service Center: 1030 SW Green Oaks Blvd. <\/p>\n

Disposal Guidelines<\/p>\n

Accepted:<\/p>\n


\nControlled, non-controlled, and over-the-counter medications for humans or pets
\nAll solid dosage pharmaceutical product and liquids in consumer containers (please keep liquid products, such as cough syrups, sealed in original containers)
\nSingle Use, Auto-Injectors (such as Epi Pens) <\/p>\n

Not Accepted:<\/p>\n


\nIntravenous solutions, injectables, syringes and medical equipment
\nIllicit substances, such as marijuana or methamphetamine
\nPressurized cartridges such as inhalers <\/p>\n

Tips
\n
\nParticipants may dispose of medication in its original container or by removing the medication from its container and disposing of it directly into the disposal box.
\nRemoving labels or repackaging is unnecessary as all disposal boxes will remain sealed and will be incinerated.
\nAll participants must retain possession of their own medication during the surrender process. <\/p>\n
