A 32-year-old man was shot and killed early Sunday after a fight in Arlington, police said.<\/p>\n
Officers responded about 4:30 a.m. to the shooting at an event venue in the 1200 block of California Lane, Arlington police said in a news release. Police did not name the venue.<\/p>\n
When officers arrived, they found multiple shell casings in front of the business. Witnesses told officers that a fight broke out during which someone fired multiple shots, police said.<\/p>\n
Police said it was a short time later when Medical City Arlington hospital staff reported that a 32-year-old man had arrived at the emergency room with a gunshot wound.<\/p>\n
Investigators determined that the man had come from the shooting scene and was taken to the hospital by friends, police said.<\/p>\n
The man later died at the hospital, police said. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner\u2019s Office identified the shooting victim<\/a> as Karri Kartik Viswanath.<\/p>\n Homicide detectives are continuing to investigate and are working to identify the shooter.
