Not a bad deal for doing something that can literally save a life.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"427\" data-end=\"842\">If my math is right, I\u2019ve hit about eight gallons donated through Vitalant (formerly United Blood Services) in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kfmx.com\/tags\/lubbock\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lubbock<\/a>. And that\u2019s just since they lifted the old tattoo restrictions\u2014I gave even before that. But this isn\u2019t about bragging. It\u2019s about showing you that I\u2019ve done this over 60 times with zero problems. Blood donation is safe, simple, and yes\u2026 still comes with cookies.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udd52 More Chances Than You Think<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"880\" data-end=\"1159\">Even with all those visits, I had no idea our local blood center is now open every other Sunday. It\u2019s one of those quiet schedule changes they don\u2019t shout about\u2014but it makes a huge difference. That means we\u2019ve got to step up and carry\u00a0a bigger part of the load. This is something we can take pride in as a community. Something real.
