A popular affordable Chinese toy retailer appears to be putting the finishing touches on its latest Central Texas location.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysanantonio.com\/business\/article\/miniso-san-antonio-21883452.php\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">Miniso<\/a> is planning to open a new store within a North Austin shopping center. The company, known for its plushies, blind boxes and stationery, has built its newest Austin store in a former Factory Mattress located at\u00a09607 Research\u00a0Blvd.<\/p>\n<p>A Miniso spokesperson told MySA the company aiming for a soft opening on April 30, with the grand opening date set for May 9. MySA recently visited the store on Sunday, March 29, which appears to be near completion.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Miniso structure and iconic red signage is already visible on the all-white building within Gateway Shopping Center.\u00a0Windows of the building are also covered with posters that say &#8220;coming soon&#8221; and &#8220;now hiring,&#8221; with a QR code linked to an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indeed.com\/q-miniso-l-austin,-tx-jobs.html?vjk=dfd624c0796b82d4\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">Indeed website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The company is currently hiring for an assistant store manager at the new Research Boulevard store, according to the Indeed job posting.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Founded in China in 2013, Miniso sells trendy and budget-friendly &#8220;Japanese-inspired&#8221; products such as stuffed animals, toys, snacks, home goods and more. The chain has over 7,000 stores worldwide and is famous for having brands in-store like Sanrio, Disney and Harry Potter.<\/p>\n<p>Miniso has been growing in Central Texas in recent years. In late February,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysanantonio.com\/business\/article\/miniso-san-antonio-21883452.php\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">Miniso welcomed its newest store in San Antonio<\/a> after previous openings in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysanantonio.com\/business\/article\/miniso-san-antonio-19567092.php\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">Southpark and Ingram malls<\/a>.
