{"id":227549,"date":"2026-03-30T21:34:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-30T21:34:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/227549\/"},"modified":"2026-03-30T21:34:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T21:34:07","slug":"tv-personality-sparks-wind-of-change-at-texas-station","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/227549\/","title":{"rendered":"TV personality sparks wind of change at Texas station"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Weekend weather forecasts in Central Texas are about to look a little different.<\/p>\n<p>Jordan Darensbourg, who joined\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysanantonio.com\/entertainment\/article\/hannah-rucker-kvue-austin-engaged-21358139.php\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">Austin&#8217;s ABC affiliate KVUE<\/a> in 2022, revealed that he&#8217;ll be departing from the station in the coming days.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I have been very grateful for my time at\u00a0KVUE here in Austin over these past four years,&#8221; the weekend evening meteorologist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DWZAqmdALrd\/?img_index=1\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">wrote on\u00a0Instagram<\/a> on March 27. &#8220;The lessons learned, the experience gained, and the memories made will always stick with me. From the 2023 Ice Storm, to the Round Rock hailstorm later that year, to those horrible 4th of July floods last year, I have been there for all of what Mother Nature threw at Austin and Central Texas.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Darensbourg noted that his last day at the station will be Sunday, April 5, saying he feels that he owes &#8220;a debt of gratitude&#8221; as his time there wraps up.<\/p>\n<p>Thanking his colleagues at the station, Darensbourg gave a nod to General Manager Byron Wilkinson and News Director Travis Sattiewhite for their &#8220;wisdom and guidance,&#8221; alongside former\u00a0General Manager Kristie Gonzales and former News Director Christina Ginn\u00a0for &#8220;taking a chance in 2022 on a guy who was only in Texas for 16 months prior to KVUE.&#8221; He also gave a shout-out to KVUE Chief Meteorologist Hunter Williams, whose &#8220;wisdom and advice is second to none of any chief I&#8217;ve had in this business.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;To every reporter, producer, anchor and editor I\u2019ve worked with here, THANK YOU. I\u2019m grateful that I had the pleasure of working with some of the most amazing people in our industry,&#8221; Darensbourg\u00a0wrote. Continuing, he\u00a0added, &#8220;To all the viewers of Central Texas, THANK YOU for your support over the years! It literally has been keeping me going during the tough moments.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Before his four years in Austin, Darensbourg served the Waco, Temple and Killeen area <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Cb8aTu5p1Fc\/\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">at KCEN<\/a>. However, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kvue.com\/article\/about-us\/team-bios\/jordan-darensbourg\/269-77fcf258-ad19-402c-afcf-01dddfc32b9f\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">the Jackson State University graduate&#8217;s<\/a> broadcast career kicked off at WDTV in West Virginia back in 2018. As for his next moves, Darensbourg said he plans to stay in Austin &#8220;for the time being,&#8221; but stayed tight-lipped on what the transition means for his career.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I\u2019m forever grateful to KVUE and Austin, and I can\u2019t wait to see the station and city continue to succeed,&#8221; he wrote.<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Weekend weather forecasts in Central Texas are about to look a little different.
