KFOX14\/CBS4 is tracking a backdoor cold front moving through the Borderland, bringing strong winds and the potential for blowing dust.<\/p>\n
A Wind Advisory is in effect for parts of El Paso and Do\u00f1a Ana counties, where sustained winds of 20 to 30 mph are expected.<\/p>\n
The strongest winds will impact West and Downtown El Paso, which is under a High Wind Warning. In these areas, gusts could exceed 60 mph.<\/p>\n
With little to no recent rainfall, these winds may kick up areas of blowing dust, leading to reduced visibility at times.<\/p>\n
Drivers should use caution, especially during the Friday evening commute when conditions could quickly become hazardous.<\/p>\n
Temperatures will also drop nearly 20 degrees from yesterday, bringing highs back to around average in the 70s.<\/p>\n
Cooler and breezy conditions will linger into Saturday before a warm up returns on Sunday.<\/p>\n
